Duplicate your theme before editing any code. In your Shopify admin go to Online Store → Themes, open the actions menu (
…) on Mirenique and choose Duplicate. Always edit the copy so you can return to a clean working version.Presets & metafields
Mirenique ships with three distinct presets built on a single codebase:
| Preset | Segment | Visual & functional direction |
|---|---|---|
| Mirenique (Parent) | Skincare | The considered formulary: Figtree Light + Newsreader Italic, arch media frames, porcelain and steel-blue palette. Highlights the Ingredient index, Concern finder, and AM/PM Daily routine. |
| Pigment | Cosmetics | Editorial color studio: Bodoni Moda uppercase + Cormorant Garamond Italic, crisp square media, ivory/ink/rouge palette. Highlights the poster hero, Shade range matrix, shade-strip bars on product cards, and drawer filters. |
| Strand | Haircare | Botanical salon: Fraunces + DM Sans, soft rounded media, pill buttons, sand/olive/cocoa palette. Highlights the panorama hero, Hair-type finder, Wash-day routine, and product type badges on cards. |
Connecting product metafields (optional)
Mirenique works out of the box with zero custom metafields required. If you want the Suitability, Formula facts, or Usage & ritual blocks on the product page to display different information for each product automatically:
- In your Shopify admin, go to Settings → Custom data → Products and click Add definition.
- Create single-line or multi-line text definitions for the fields you use (for example:
custom.skin_types,custom.concerns,custom.ph_level,custom.key_actives,custom.full_inci,custom.usage_instructions). - In the Theme Editor on the Default product template, click the Connect dynamic source icon next to each block setting and select your product metafield.
